Winter Dogging

Some swingers are into exhibitionism and as such, some are also into dogging. Not me… it isn’t my scene but I know plenty who enjoy it and even in winter there’s no reason to not get out there and have some outdoor fun.

Doggers tend to get out into the fresh air during summer whereas once winter arrives, cars are brought into use and the old ‘car park’ dogging scene tends to take off.

There’s a car park just around the corner from us that’s usually home to a few steamed up cars of an evening and I’m betting there’s a place in your town that’s used for the same thing. A quick search on Google will no doubt give you more info if you’re interested in finding out where they hang out.

If you do decide to go along and see what winter dogging’s all about, remember that there are rules to follow.

Don’t just go bogging into people’s cars expecting to be invited to join the fun because it doesn’t work that way. Park up, turn your engine off but leave the interior light on. It’s the light that tells other doggers what or who you are.

If you see a couple having fun, watch by all means. If they’re up for a threesome, they’ll soon signal to you to come and join them. Then – and only then – should you approach.

A few well placed enquires at your local swingers club should also be helpful. Ask if anybody knows where there’s any ‘outdoor fun’ going on locally and what the local rules are. Sometimes thing can differ from area to area y’see, so it’s always best to check.

A threesome in a car sounds too much like hard work to me but if it’s your thing – or you just like watching – get out there and enjoy :-)

Cottaging

Today we’re going to talk about cottaging, the term for dogging when practised by gay men. Just like dogging, it means that certain areas are known to be frequented by gay men who either enjoy being watched by others or are the complete opposite and want to watch strangers having sex.

It’s strange really because there are plenty of places you can go to see others having sex or to show off while doing it yourself and yet cottaging and dogging – both closely related – are incredibly popular pastimes amongst certain groups.

I spoke to a gay friend about cottaging and he said the thrill is in the not knowing who’s watching or, if you do know you’re being watched, not knowing who that person is. And sometimes you can invite a complete stranger to sit in the car with you and watch, or even join in. Yeah… I can see the attraction in that.

Some dogging sites will be left to be occupied by gay men (it’s almost always men) on certain nights and a quick search on Google should bring up some answers as to where you can find cottaging sites.

Car Park Sex (aka Dogging)

Well, we’re almost midway through March so it won’t be long before the doggers return to the car parks looking for some outdoor fun and games.I doubt there’s anybody with a healthy interest in sex left in the UK who hasn’t heard of dogging, but not everybody knows what it’s all about.

Simply put, dogging consists of couples having sex in a semi public place while others watch, with the most popular venues being car-parks, hence the popular term ‘car park sex’. Couples park up and have sex inside the car while voyeurs watch and enjoy the show.

Sometimes voyeurs are invited to join couples in their cars, either to take part in the sex or just to be closer while they watch, but approaching a car without invitation won’t be looking kindly upon so don’t do it. It’s also important to remember that watching doesn’t mean touching. If you’re invited to watch from a closer position, that’s exactly what it means. Nothing else!

As much as I love sex indoors, there’s something about car park sex that really gets my juices flowing so I’m hoping the weather improves soon so that me and the other half can get the MG out and head off to our favourite dogging sites. I’m sure our fellow doggers feel exactly the same way, too.

Get out there and start enjoying one of the great British inventions: Dogging!

Dogging Dangers

Dogging can be fun, there’s no doubt about that, but the sad fact is that it can also be dangerous if you go to the wrong places.

A friend of mine told me about her experience of dogging and quite honestly, it shocked me. Her and her husband had driven down to a place just outside London with the intention of watching the show rather than participating themselves. However, about a dozen men had at some point during the evening insisted that Cazzy let them shag her (she didn’t – her husband saw them off) because they saw the fact that she was there as an open invitation for sex.

Nobody was hurt but if she’d been alone she could well have been. As it was, the only problem they had was the hassle but that was bad enough to make her never want to try dogging again.

My advice is to go along, park up at a safe distance and watch what goes on. If it looks the kind of place where doggers respect each other then you can always try moving in closer but if you see anybody hassling others then obviously it’s better to look for another place.

What is Swinging?

I’ve been writing this blog for about a year now and was initially surprised when I received and email from a lady asking me what swinging actually is. At first I thought it was a send up, but then I got to thinking about it. Maybe everybody doesn’t actually know what swinging is. If you’ve read the blog you’d probably have a good idea by now but if you’re new here, you may well be confused. So, if you’re one of those who finds him or herself in need of more information, here’s a quick run down of what swinging actually is.

Also known as “The Lifestyle”, swinging is about singles or couples having no-string sexual relationships with others. That’s it. It really is that simple. If you, either alone or with your partner, enjoy threesomes, partner swaps, group sex or similar, then you’re swingers.

Some swingers visit clubs that specialise in entertaining those looking to enjoy no-strings sex, some use contact ads to find other swingers to fulfil their fantasies with and some attend swingers parties. Some go dogging and some take swinging holidays. Some do several of the aforementioned activities and some do all of them. There are, in other words, no hard and fast rules.

Swinging isn’t for everybody – it never has been and never will be – but for those who enjoy sexual freedom, swinging is a way of fulfilling desires without having to get involved in committed relationships.

Exhibitionism

Exhibitionism is, as you would expect, relatively common within the swinging community. Most members of our club certainly like to show off and are perfectly happy to be watched regardless of what they’re doing.

BUT – and this is a big but – don’t assume that just because a person is a swinger that he or she will automatically like being watched. There are plenty of swingers who would rather have sex in a private room where nobody else can see. It’s just the fact that they can have sex with a variety of partners that has led them into swinging, not the exhibitionism involved. Because of this, most clubs will have private rooms available.

Exhibitionism can also be taken further. Some exhibitionists are only happy if they can be watched by total strangers. Yes, I know some of the members of swingers clubs will be strangers but in this respect I mean members of the public who aren’t expecting to see somebody exposing themselves or having sex. Sometimes they’ll have sex in front of a window in a well lit room (I’ve seen this several times myself) and it’s to satisfy the exhibitionist as well as the voyeur that dogging has become so popular.

If exhibitionism is your thing then there’s no reason why you shouldn’t enjoy it. I would suggest you don’t show off in places where minors are likely to see you, though. You don’t want to get done for indecent exposure, do you?
