Ok, so the title’s pretty naff, but you try coming up with one every bloody day and see how you like it!
What I’m going to tell you about today is a bit of a laugh really. It’s a memory of a holiday that Malc and I had about three years ago. A group of the regulars at our swingers club decided we’d arrange a long weekend in Cornwall, camping in a field owned by one of the women’s sister. Because Bev and Billy were swingers too, they were more than happy to accommodate us and said they’d invite a few people down for a weekend of fun and games, too.
Needless to say, we couldn’t wait. The Friday came and with glorious sunshine blazing down from a clear blue sky, we set off towards a little place just outside of Penzance. Quite a few of our friends were already in position by the time we arrived and had already cracked open a few bottles, so we quickly put our tent up and went over to where they’d grouped around a barbie and threw a few beers down our throats, too.
Then at about eight that evening, the sky changed. Dark clouds came over and about ten minutes later the heavens opened. It absolutely tipped it down. There were about twenty couples in the field by now, both from our club and some locals invited down by Bev and Billy, and we’d been looking forward to doing some serious swinging once we’d eaten. The barbecue was soaked, we were soaked, and the equipment that had been left outside tents was soaked.
But did it dampen our spirits? Did it heck! When sex is on the menu, it takes more than rain to wreck a person’s mood, especially if that person’s a swinger.
It turned into a full-scale orgy in a muddy field and was once of the best parties I’ve ever been to. We were all filthy and wet by the time we crawled into our tents for the night and quite a few of us made our way home the next day instead of staying until Sunday, but what we all learned from the experience is that you can have fun anywhere and in any weather as long as you can see the bright side of the situation.
