If you expect your bedroom to be a place where you can frolic until your heart and other body parts are content, it’s important you make it the kind of place that encourages hot and steamy sex.
If you were to go into a whore’s bedroom, the last thing you’d find are photos of Aunt Mabel, little Jimmy and Granpa’s dog beaming at you from the bedside table. There wouldn’t be pictures of cute kittens hanging on the walls or teddys sitting on the headboard, either.
Why? Because professionals know that to invite good sex, you have to be surrounded by colours, textures and graphics that turn you on.
Make your bedroom tactile by using a variety of different fabrics from velvet to leather. Add a few feathers in the form of a boa hanging over the headboard and a few silk ribbons to use as restraints.
Hang up pictures of couples making love. Or group sex. Or whatever turns you on. They don’t need to be explicit but they do need to be erotic – to hint at something promising.
Install dimmer switches to control overhead lighting and rather than use candles that can easily be forgotten, add a few smaller lamps around the room.
If you make your room sexy, you’re more likely to feel sexy when you’re in there and so is your partner or guests. And when you’re getting down to the nitty-gritty and the temperatures are rising, you’ll be glad you made the effort.
