Organising A Party

Malc and I had a great time on Valentine’s evening. We’d arranged a party for some of our swinger friends and it was such a hit that the last couple didn’t go home until well into the afternoon of the 15th! It’s a good job Malc had the day off!

Anyway, a couple of the women congratulated me on arranging such a fun party and asked what my secrets of success were. Well, I’m not sure I have any secrets as such, but I do enjoy arranging a party and I thought that, even though I’m late for Valentine’s now, some of you will no doubt be arranging birthday parties and just general swingers parties so here are my tips for making it go with a bang (pun not intended!).

1. Make sure your house is clean and tidy. I realise this should go without saying but it doesn’t always – I’ve been to parties in houses that have left a lot to be desired and, quite honestly, a grubby home (especially a grubby bedroom and/or bathroom) does nothing to evoke an erotic mood.

2. Decides beforehand which rooms will be used for what and let your guests know. I always hang a list on the kitchen wall too, so there’s no doubt, and also put notes on the bedroom doors. One bedroom is always a ‘private room’ (to be used by one or more couples at a time but without spectators) and two are to be open rooms. The living room is for flirting and having fun but no penetrative sex! Of course, you’ll have your own rules – what’s important is that everybody knows what’s what.

3. Have plenty of clean towels available. Most, if not all, of your guests will want to take a shower at some point during the evening and many will have forgotten to bring a towel with them. It’s also important to have large bath sheets available for those who have forgotten their robes.

4. Have a designated smoking area. Our home is a non-smoking home anyway, but most hosts of swingers parties choose to have one area only open to smoking because of the dangers involved. We allow smokers to light up in the kitchen during winter (with the ventilator of full) but during summer they go onto the patio to smoke. Obviously, they must be wearing a robe even though our garden isn’t directly overlooked.

5. Arrange some party games to break the ice. You can find some idea here and here.

6. Last but most definitely not least, have plenty of condoms available. Some will inevitably forget to bring them and others will run out. Never let anybody have an excuse to ride bareback at your party – it just isn’t responsible.
