Actress Eva Longoria, best known for her role in Desperate Housewives, has a tattoo of her boyfriend’s initials in a secret intimate place.
Reading about Eva made me think about my own tattoos and those of others that I’ve seen, and my betting is that there are more people out there with ‘intimate tattoos’ than most of us probably imagine.
I have a tattoo of a rose where my pubic V would normally be (but like many women, I shave mine). A friend of mine has a tiny heart in the same place and I’ve seen a woman with a tribal style tattoo along one of her labia lips. That must surely have been uncomfortable but it certainly looked impressive.
When it comes to men, I’ve seen quite a few tattooed penises and most have looked quite good.
Not all tattooists are willing to work on intimate areas of the body so if you’re thinking of having one done, make sure the tattooists knows exactly what you want when you make the appointment as the last thing you need is to turn up only to be told that he/she won’t put a tattoo on your labia/penis/wherever.
