Don’t Be Silly, Wrap That Willy!

I know I’ve mentioned condoms before but the last time was way back in April so and while that particular post was more about the kind of condoms that are available, what I want to talk about today is the importance of condoms in the fight against STDs.

As I’ve also mentioned before, STDs aren’t a huge problem amongst swingers because we’re generally a pretty responsible bunch but – and isn’t there always a but? – if newcomers to the scene don’t respect the importance of condoms, things can quickly change for the worse.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m not one of those thirty something women who go around thinking anybody under twenty is irresponsible, but I know from experience that there are still too many young people ‘putting it around’ without protection. Please… stop and think. Swinging’s great, but if you pick up a nasty infection, and God forbid it be HIV, you won’t be finding it quite as much fun anymore.

I’ve heard all the arguments about wearing a condom being like shagging with a raincoat on blah, blah, blah so don’t even go there because it’s rubbish. Modern condoms are thin, lightweight and, yeah… they do remove the ability to feel how wet your partner is, but they’re still a damned sight better than the alternative.

It’s really just a matter of what you’re used to. I personally wouldn’t dream of having unprotected sex with any other man than my life partner and you all know how much I enjoy a good shag so if I can do it, so can you, right?

Believe me, I’m not preaching for the sake of it, I truly care about the swinging scene and I don’t want it getting a bad name because some people are foolish enough to swing without protection.
